DOMINIC ZEOLI MEMORIAL 

About Us:

On August 16, 2009, we received the phone call that every parent prays to God they will never receive. When we learned that our son, Dominic was in a terrible auto crash, we didn’t know what to expect, but we prayed for him to be safe. As we drove to the hospital, we passed the crash site, and we knew it was bad. That night, the worst happened, Dominic died, at the young age of twenty-one, his whole life ahead of him.

Dom was a student at Rockland Community College and like many other students he was struggling financially, but didn’t qualify for financial aid. Dom would take the maximum number of credit hours each semester that he could afford, unfortunately this slowed his progress. But Dom continued to work and save, and never gave up on his dreams. He was determined to be a college graduate.

Dom may not have fulfilled his life dreams, but you could say that he achieved a lot in the short time he was here. Dominic was a volunteer firefighter and a caregiver to his late grandmother. In his life, Dominic was known for his random acts of kindness, and his gentle, loving spirit. He was a good friend and person, and loved by many. Dominic loved to help people, and through this scholarship he can continue to help others.

Each semester one student will be awarded a one-time scholarship. We hope to continue an annual scholarship award program to Suffern High School students, in Dominic Zeoli name and memory.

Every donation will fund the DOMINIC ZEOLI SCHOLARSHIP . If we measure success in life by the people whose lives we add meaning to and the amount of love we give and receive from others then you can say that Dominic lived out his dreams and succeeded.

The Dominic Zeoli Memorial is set up in loving memory of Dominic Zeoli for the benefit of Rockland Community College students. Each year the Dominic Zeoli Memorial holds a variety of fundraisers and events that help raise money to donate to students. In the last years, with the help and generosity of many others, like yourself, we were able to give Scholarships to young adults in our community. Please follow us on facebook.

For the last few years the Dominic Zeoli Memorial has been blessed with donations for our Annual BBQ & Softball game and the raffles, sold at the Game.
